Oncology with D-Flow Onko

Document cases, discuss them together and keep the results with the case: D-Flow Onko brings oncology documentation and tumour conferences together in a browser-based application. Diagnosis, treatment and follow-up are visible over time, with conference results and cancer registry export preparation forming part of the workflow.

Overview

Patient, case and history in context

Oncology documentation often spans several conditions, treatments and discussions. D-Flow Onko can hold multiple cases for one patient, including cases for the same cancer. Each case retains its own documentation and history.

Organ-specific forms complement shared information such as diagnosis, histology and TNM. The application includes areas for breast, lung, colorectal and prostate cancers, as well as haematological diseases and molecular tumour boards. Separate pathology cases document findings without treatment records.

Workflow

From documentation to conference results

  1. Prepare the case: Select the appropriate clinical area and bring diagnoses, findings, treatments and documents together in the case.
  2. Schedule the tumour conference: Set the date and participants, and assign one or more cases for discussion. Upcoming conferences appear on the dashboard.
  3. Discuss the cases together: Open the video conference, review case data and document recommendations and participants during the meeting.
  4. Finalise the result: An authorised person closes the result. A PDF is generated using the institution's template and made available directly in the case.

Features

Connect documentation and collaboration

Review the course of care

Timelines show diagnosis, surgery, further investigations, radiotherapy, systemic therapy and follow-up in context.

Document by clinical specialty

Shared and organ-specific entry sections structure information for the relevant cancer type.

Discuss cases together

Jitsi video conferences can run alongside case data and result documentation. External participants can also join the discussion.

Keep results with the case

Recommendations, participants and closure are documented. The generated result PDF remains linked to the case.

Tumour conference

Discussion and results in one workflow

During the conference, authorised users can open case documentation and the result form alongside the video call. External participants see the presented case data through screen sharing; they do not edit conference results.

After closure and PDF generation, the result is locked against changes. New or corrected results are documented in a further conference. Clinical assessment and recommendations remain the responsibility of the participating specialists; D-Flow Onko supports their documentation and coordination.

Cancer registry

Prepare reports and check data

Working lists support cancer registry reporting in oBDS format, version 3. They show exportable cases and highlight missing required information or invalid values. Affected records can be opened for correction and then checked again.

XML exports for cancer and pathology cases are available for manual submission to the cancer registry. Diagnoses and treatments can be marked for re-export when previously exported information has been corrected.

Your institution

Explore D-Flow Onko

The application is available in German and English and is built on the D-Flow platform. In a demo, we show the workflow from case documentation through the tumour conference to registry export.

Logos, colours and result templates can be adapted to your institution. For an implementation, we work with you to define clinical workflows, permissions, required integrations and operation of the application.
